The world’s leader in the habitat and construction markets, Saint-Gobain Building Distribution has appointed Regent Samsic to clean in excess of 350 building materials distribution sites located from Bristol and Wales to northern England and Scotland.
With 2013 sales of €42 billion, Saint-Gobain operates in 64 countries and employs over 190,000 people worldwide (including over 17,000 in the UK & Ireland), in the design, manufacture and distribution of building and high-performance materials.
Regent Samsic won the £1 million plus cleaning contract to the company’s UK sites in the face of stiff competition and in under three weeks mobilised over 360 new and existing personnel to retail sites operated by Jewson amongst other major High Street brands.
Commented Saint-Gobain Building Distribution facility and services manager, Christian Broady:
“After receiving poor service for several years with the previous incumbent cleaning company we had to be very diligent in selecting our new supplier.
“Regent Samsic have not let us down, mobilising and delivering the contract in a truly professional manner. I am confident in promoting the company, both internally and externally to other businesses.”
Regent Samsic joint managing director, John Critchell, added:
“Our teams did a fantastic job getting to sites, quickly meeting the staff and putting processes in place to ensure a swift and easy transfer from the previous incumbent to ourselves.
“We’ve accrued a lot of experience providing support services to large retail sites and we’re looking forward to bringing that experience to bear at Saint-Gobain Building Distribution.,”
Further gains for Regent Samsic
Regent Samsic has also added two further sites to its national contract with Vertu Motors, the UK’s 6th largest motor retail dealership.
Further business gains and retentions include additions to its long standing contract with Hertfordshire County Council, and the retention by a further three-years to the large cleaning contract managed by the company on behalf of Monmouth Comprehensive School.
