A new entrant to Latin America’s fast-developing printing industry, Integration Technology Latin America (LAM) drew the crowds at this year’s FESPA Brasil where the company was the only UV curing specialist to exhibit.
The local market subsidiary of UK-based UV curing pioneer Integration Technology Ltd (ITL) officially opened for business at the event last month (April 2016) in Sao Paulo.
Professionals from across the continent visited the company’s stand to meet the team and get acquainted with ITL’s extensive program of UV LED and traditional arc lamp curing systems.
Key focus was on the company’s brand new MidZero LED product, a solution specifically targeted at the wide format graphics and digital industrial markets. Also showing for the first time at this event was ITL’s recently upgraded VZero LED, which was demonstrated running on a variable data machine made by local market partner, DeConto and printing QR and bar codes.

“We had a very busy booth from day one so FESPA Brazil proved the ideal platform for introducing our business and its innovative product lines to our core customer bases in this country as well as Mexico and Argentina,” said stand manager, Edsel Lonza Jnr, Business Development Manager at the new company, which will operate in partnership with LZ Consultoria to support its Latin American markets.
“We benefited from a high level of very good quality sales leads, mostly from Brazil but including all regions spanning Mexico to Argentina, for the new MidZero LED and several for DeConto units fitted with VZero LED,” he added.
A cost-effective yet high-performing air cooled UV LED solution, the MidZero LED is specifically targeted at the wide-format graphics printing and digital industrial markets and was well received by FESPA visitors who represent a key target market for the solution.
With its lamp units mounted seamlessly end to end, the new MidZero can be scaled to any required length with peak intensity of over 4W/cm² delivering an unbeatable class-leading dose that outperforms similar products with much higher indicated peak intensities.
Also ideal for single pass industrial inter-colour curing or high speed pinning where lamp heads do not need to be mounted directly next to a print head, this highly flexible system offers both digital or analogue control as standard. Its RS485 control is capable of driving up to two 240mm versions, greatly reducing the cabling needed.
This system can also be purchased as component parts, enabling greater local integration and value added for the OEM client.
Also available for niche applications is the smaller MidZero 040. Particularly useful where space and form factor can be challenging, its compact and lightweight architecture specifically matches the requirements of small X/Y direct-to-product printers as well as other emerging technologies.

The established VZero LED system is an air-cooled and more powerful variant of the established SubZero system developed for single pass curing.
Capable of delivering a high dose at up to 12 W/cm² in intensity, the VZero is scaleable to any length in increments of 90mm and is targeted at grand format graphics inkjet printers and single pass inkjet printing applications.
Says Edsel Lonza Jnr: “Latin American countries offer enormous scope for broadening the reach of high-end UV curing systems like these and we look forward to providing sales, marketing as well as logistical and technical support services to emerging markets across our continent.”
