Integration Technology SubZero
170 EST chosen by DYSS for LG Flat screen TV solution
UV digital print curing from Integration Technology Ltd (ITL) is helping
Korea-based electronics giant LG Electronics to differentiate its TV screens
within the marketplace by incorporating inkjet-printed graphic designs onto
their frames.
To print effectively onto the curvature of TV screen bevels, LG is using
DYSS Apollo RF260 2.6 x 1.8m flatbed UV printers fitted with ITL’s
recently-introduced SubZero 170EST UV curing emitters. LG Electronics is
planning on incorporating its new DYSS printers at both its production sites
in Korea and Poland.
For optimised efficiency, DYSS has split the Apollo RF260 flatbed into four
jigs. Each of these can be moved independently enabling different sized TV
frames to be loaded and when completed, replaced whilst others are still
printing.

The 170 EST features the latest in multi-level switch mode power sully with
positive lamp run feedback; a space saving single power supply individually
controlling the twin UV lampheads and a high speed electronic shutter
operating in less than 100 milliseconds.
With the introduction in October 2009 of the 170 and smaller 140 models,
UK-based Integration Technology Ltd (ITL) has broadened the scope of its
acclaimed SubZero UV emitter range, boosting UV output by 16% and delivering
230% more UV energy than from the existing SubZero 085 unit.
DYSS uses ITL SubZero 085 EST and VZero 085 HNT emitters for the Apollo
range.
