Shanghai bund - ITL back to first overseas opening for global mid-term review
Exotic and bustling, Shanghai's Bund, the historic area of the city bordering
the Huangpu River, was the location for an upbeat appraisal of Integration
Technology (ITL)'s mid-year sales and marketing review.
ITL products have proved to be the number one choice for major players in the
international inkjet printer manufacturing sector.
A pioneering designer and developer of ultra-violet (UV) curing solutions for
inkjet printing amongst other emerging technologies, ITL enjoys a significant
export market share and ITL China was the very first of the company's offices to
open to meet the needs of the highly important South East Asian manufacturing
sector.
ITL Shanghai's sales team welcomed its Japanese, Korean, European and USA
counterparts as well as directors from the UK to what has become a fixture in
the company's trading year and in an informal, flexible context than the more
rigid framework and reporting procedures of the company's annual ISM at its HQ
in Oxford, England.

The 2008 meeting proved particularly useful with its upbeat review in the
context of the global economic situation and provided a forum for exploring
development ideas that could well see ITL products entering a number of other
technology sectors.
Discussions allowed timely adjustments to business strategy that will benefit
overseas customer facing staff and inform the design and development team back
home.
The Shanghai 'home team' of Sam Yang and Jane Wensh proved admirable hosts,
providing a timetable that also enabled Koji Ogawa and Kenji Takamura from ITL's
Japanese sales partner, Jennifer Heathcote from ITL USA, Simon Gibbs from ITL
Europe and Lewis Jun from ITL Korea to learn more about Chinese business culture
at first hand.
Sam and Jane arranged for the international visitors to explore the Yuyuan
Garden, visit the 400-year old water village of Zhu Jia Jiao, and be guided -
carefully! - through local restaurant menus.
ITL UK directors, Adrian Lockwood, David Johnson and Jason Smith, were pleased
with the opportunity to get the team together after the closely packed series of
international industry conferences and exhibitions that filled the diary over
preceding months.
Global Accounts Director David Johnson commented: "ITL marketing people are
technically experienced in the sector, well able to troubleshoot problems and
solve any set-up issues that might arise.
"Bringing the team together here in Shanghai, to the very site of our first
overseas office, enabled us to take a step back and thus keep an open
perspective on our business plan for 2009 and forward."
ITL's 2009 mid-term meeting is scheduled to take place in Chicago, the second
ITL sales office to be opened outside the UK.
