Integration Technology to replace debut UV curing system after 20 years
One of UV curing’s most enduring brands, Integration Technology’s debut system LAMPcure VZero is being replaced after nearly 20 years on the market.
Developed in 2000, the compact and lightweight solution for inkjet printing came to market after successful early trials undertaken in partnership with print head manufacturer Xaar and Sericol Inks leading to factory-testing at Zund in Switzerland on its newly-developed wide-format UV ink jet platform.
Every Zund wide-format platform built subsequently was fitted with some of the several thousands of VZero lamp systems produced.
IST-Metz Group member Integration Technology has stated that spare parts for the system will continue to be manufactured until 2024 while replacement lamps will be remain available indefinitely.
Print industry customers are meanwhile being directed to alternative solutions to VZero and the later VZero 2 model.
Arc-based technology users are being recommended either the Integration Technology SubZero or the MBS5Li from IST Metz, while Integration Technology’s VZ and VZX range of air-cooled solutions are the preferred systems for processes requiring UV LED curing.
