Lindisfarne latest - Rod rocks on
While Geordie folk rockers Lindisfarne sadly
have folded, their music looks likely to live on in the career of the
bands Rod Clements.
With his acclaimed debut solo album
Stamping Ground (Market Square MSMCD107) asserting his
credentials as a solo performer, band co-founder and principal songwriter
Rod is working a growing number of dates throughout the UK.
Rod also expects to have the follow-up to Stamping
Ground out on Market Square in late 2004.
He is into the studio shortly with Nigel Stonier
(himself getting due acclaim for his work with rising star, Thea Gilmore),
and long-standing ex -Lindisfarne cohorts Ian Thomson (bass) and Dave
Hull-Denholm (guitars), along with a stellar cast of guest musicians.
Rods 2004/5 new release schedule includes
live work and a further studio album revisiting some of Rod's earlier Lindisfarne
repertoire.
