Training opportunities during 2009 with Britain's largest commercial
provider of training for professional cleaners have been announced.
Comprehensive learning and development courses spanning carpet,
upholstery and hard floor cleaning and maintenance are taking place at
Prochem Europe's Chessington, Surrey dedicated training centre.
Two-day carpet cleaning courses take place on January 27/28, March 24/25,
June 2/3, September 29/30 and November 24/25. Aimed at cleaning
newcomers, this package incorporates the theoretical and practical
elements of the one-day course, together with guidance on surveying,
pricing and selling.
One-day carpet courses are happening on January 13, February 10, March
17, April 21, May 19, June 16, July 14, September 8, October 6, November
3 and December 8. Designed for carpet cleaners, contract businesses and
public sector operatives, the course also covers carpet construction,
fibre identification, approved cleaning methods, stain removal and
protective treatments.
One-day upholstery courses take place on January 14, March 18, May 20,
July 15, September 9 and November 4. Looking at all types of fabric
cleaning, the course examines everything from inspecting and testing to
wet and dry cleaning of upholstery, leather and fine textiles.
One-day hard floor cleaning courses are on January 21, March 4, May 12,
July 1, September 16 and November 11. These serve to help professional
cleaners, contract cleaners and hospital and local authority staff
identify and maintain a wide range of floor surfaces and feature
practical demonstrations in Prochem's custom-built training area.
