Natural choice for Cleaning Show

Interested in sustainable cleaning? With more specifiers demanding environmentally-considerate solutions from cleaners, Prochem Europe's UK trade launch of its new Natural range at March (2009)'s Cleaning Show in Birmingham is timely.

The company, an innovator in cleaning technologies, exhibits on stand (E30) at the event, running from March 10th to 12th at the NEC in Birmingham.

The Cleaning Show provides visitors a first chance to see new cleaning technology from Prochem in the new larger capacity Bravo Plus - the answer to cleaning small carpeted areas and the Steempro Powerplus 500 with fully adjustable pump providing up to 500 psi - a perfect solution for larger ones.

Also on show is a selection from Prochem's extensive range of powerful truck-mounted and portable extraction machines as well as latest chemicals solutions, including new Procaps spray cleaner for interim carpet maintenance with cylindrical brush machines.

However, the focal point of the stand will undoubtedly be the new Natural range, launched last summer.

Based upon formulations that perform as well or better than equivalent professional products without harming the environment, six products from the range are now WoolSafe approved under the scheme's defined standards of performance and safety.

The Natural range features environmentally and user friendly phosphate free formulations coupled with all natural fragrances including lemongrass, eucalyptus and tea tree as well as lavender, orange and peppermint in the new Natural Carpet Deodoriser.

Free of colours, dyes, synthetic fragrances, EDTA and NTA, it contains only ingredients considered safe for the environment and employs biodegradable complexing agents and short chain biodegradable surfactants.

Natural cleaning products independently tested, evaluated and accredited by The WOOLSAFE Organisation according to their test methods and Pass/Fail criteria for performance and safety are:

E717 Natural Carpet Prespray
E343 Natural Carpet Spotter
E157 Natural Carpet Rinse
E728 Natural Carpet Foam Shampoo
E779 Natural Carpet Powder Detergent

These solutions are now WOOLSAFE-approved and authorised to use the WOOLSAFE Mark. The range also conforms to the USA EPA "Design for Environment" guidelines and has the Carpet & Rug Institute Seal of Approval (where appropriate).

Despite the gloomy economic forecasts, Prochem Europe anticipates the 2009 Cleaning Show to continue to be popular with both cleaners and suppliers keen to find out both what's new on the market and meet and network with friends and colleagues.

"We have had consistently good attendance at the shows we exhibit at and The Cleaning Show is always one of the best," says the company's national sales manager, Paul Robinson.

Paul will be on Stand E30 during the show, along with members of Prochem's Customer Support Team, to field visitors' sales, product, technical and training enquiries.
