Regent is a 'rising star'

National cleaning contractor Regent Cleaning Services has come out top in a new league table of Britain's fastest growing companies.

The table, British Top Seeds, published in the Financial Mail on Sunday (July 6 2001), cites Regent as the UK's top outsourced business services company with a 66% compound growth in profit over the past three years.

In an article entitled 'The rising stars who are going places fast', the newspaper declared Regent and others in the report highlighting the top 20 fastest-growing companies in their fields, as "the companies set to dominate their sectors … making their names through impressive performances in sales and profits."

Spring 2001 saw Regent re-launch itself as Regent Cleaning Services to reflect its diversification from public sector and office cleaning into the cleaning of transport environments.

Regent has since opened new operation centres in Coventry and Cardiff, bringing its regional office total to eleven. The company, which employs 2000 people nationwide, is headquartered at Haslemere, Surrey.

Said Regent sales director John Critchell:"Regent is putting on new business and expanding its services to a valued client base. "We feel we are getting it right. It was a pleasure to have it confirmed in a national newspaper!"
