Regent Security commended by Ofsted
Regent Security has been highly commended in a report for Birmingham
Metropolitan College by Ofsted, the official body tasked with inspecting
and regulating the care of children, young people, and the education and
skills for learners of all ages.
"Ofsted have given us top marks for security in their report and we are
naturally delighted with the news," says Regent joint managing director
The report highlights in particular exemplary safeguarding arrangements
with security staff providing exceptionally well-controlled access to
college sites and a very good balance between security and sensitivity.
Managers are reported as giving a very high priority to implementation of
comprehensive policies and procedures with security staff managing
access to all main campuses extremely effectively with learners thereby
feeling very safe within colleges such as Matthew Boulton in the city
Managers also work extremely effectively with external partners within a
well-considered strategic plan to ensure that the college meets the
needs of learners, employers and communities.
"This is a first rate outcome for Regent," comments Birmingham
Metropolitan College assistant facilities manager John Latham.
"This company continues to demonstrate best practice in both cleaning
and security provision for our sites and it’s a pleasure to have their
teams in our community."
John Latham sees the successful partnership between contractor and
college hinging on effective grass roots management and clear lines of
communication between the two parties.
"We all function as a single team," he says. "I know that when I ask for
something to be done, it will be done."
