Regent adds cleaning to security services at leading out-of-town
The UK's leading out-of-town retail site, Fosse Shopping Park has
appointed Regent Cleaning to provide cleaning and maintenance services
to its 37-acre site near Leicester.
Security to the site, which draws 12 million visitors a year, is already
being provided by Regent’s security services arm.
Adjoining the M1 motorway, Fosse Park hosts 40 stores, with many major
retail brands including Marks & Spencer, Next, BHS and Currys as
All shops and food outlets, together with a communal eating area, are
situated on the ground floor making access easier for shoppers. Free
parking for over 2,500 cars helps makes this one of the most popular and
successful retail parks in the country.
Regent security acquisition, Premier Security Services (PSS) won the
security contract at Fosse Park in 2010.
Centre Director Cathy Murdoch commended the company’s service as the 'the
best security provider we have ever had' citing added team support,
better systems and procedures and a strong working relationship with the
site’s retail tenants.
When the cleaning contract to Fosse Park came up for review this year
(2011) Regent’s cleaning division was invited to tender and in April
duly won the contract to clean the site’s public circulation areas,
management suite, grounds and car park areas.
Regent Cleaning and Security offer the perfect bundled solution with
focus on sharing best practice aims and objectives with staff and
tenants. Comprehensive team briefing and equipment training for
operators of scrubbers, burnishers, vacuum cleaners and driers working
on the single level site form a core component in ensuring rigorous
attention to process.
Regent fields three full-time cleaners and 19 shift staff to the food
hall, management suite and car park while security is provided by two
control room operatives monitoring CCTV to retail areas and car park,
supporting eight guards patrolling and assisting tenant in-store
personnel and members of the public.
Growing uptake of deployment of Regent services in the retail sector
includes a further contract gain for the company in IKEA’s Gateshead
outlet; Regent also cleans stores at Cardiff, Bristol, Croydon and
