Leading security association welcomes Regent
The UK's leading member body representing the professional security
industry in the UK has welcomed Regent Security to its membership.
Members of the British Security Industry Association (BSIA) provide
over 70% of UK security products and services and adhere to strict
quality standards.
Maintaining high standards within the industry is a top priority of
the Association and it places rigorous requirements on companies
wishing to become members.

The BSIA draws up industry codes of practice and technical
documents, often then submitting documents for consideration as
British Standards. Its representatives work on European standards
committees to ensure that these will meet the practical needs of the
industry and its customers.
The 2006-formed 'Skills for Security' incorporates the Security
Industry Training Organisation, the BSIA's training subsidiary,
divested from the Association to form the new skills body.
The BSIA is working with 2006-formed ‘Skills for Security',
alongside other key industry stakeholders, to help to establish a
stronger skills foundation to further benefits for the industry and
its people.
Regent Security director Andrew Hallam is delighted to be joining
the BSIA. "The association calls for support, education and high
standards of professionalism," he says. "These are qualities we
share, making membership more appropriate in a mutual quest for best
practice."
