VERCOFurniture return of a star brand A return to pole market position is expected for one of the UK's best known office furniture brands Verco Over the past two years, the High Wycombe-based manufacturer has invested £1.5 million plus in new building and refurbishment and in plant facilities and production lines. The company is also reporting growing market share. Says managing director Derek Vere: "We have been spending in order to better the quality of service presently provided in the market for our distributors to meet increasing demand for our products from specifiers and end users. "The company has turned the corner to markedly improved fortunes. We are regaining market share. We are back to being busy." Verco, founded by the Vere family in 1912 and remaining in family ownership today, is based at 40,000 sq m area site near High Wycombe's centre where its makes a diverse selection of seating, desking and storage designs for all types of modern workplace environment. In addition to the UK, Verco seating designs are also manufactured in the Unites States, France and Australia.
