Verco executive furniture to Morrisons' HQ
Executive suites, board and meeting rooms feature elements from Verco's
Corniche furniture range within a major relocation of 1400 personnel from
three regional facilities to brand new, purpose-built headquarters in
Bradford for UK supermarket company Morrisons.
The project by Salford-based TSK Group satisfies the brief to "create a
workplace that would help to establish a more positive, productive and
collaborative working culture".
"The TSK Group helped us to unlock the potential of the interior
environment, ensuring the project was not only an investment in property
but also in our workforce and organisation as a whole," says Morrisons
property director, Roger Owen.

Working with the project architect, TSK evolved a light and open
workspace with a broad spectrum of work settings with the minimum of
physical boundaries and ample breakout areas to stimulate interaction
between staff working communally for the first time.
TSK Group provided a full interior design and construction service to
Morrisons. It not only procured all furniture to site, but also
established and implemented a furniture recycling strategy and, where
appropriate, utilised furniture from sites being vacated.
In addition, TSK sourced and installed the latest audio-visual
conferencing technology to meeting rooms, which, together with management
suites and boardroom, are complemented by the use of Corniche board and
meeting tables.
Morrisons were attracted to elegance and quality inherent in Corniche, a
long-established and revised design brand within the Verco programme,
with complementary desking and storage designs also available.
TSK Group specified conference tables in real oak veneer for six office
suites and four meeting rooms in the management floors at Morrisons'
headquarters.
Corniche comes in a choice of three veneers (Oak, Cherry and Maple) with
a bespoke staining service also available.
A choice of 1220 diameter circular, and 2.5m, 3.5m and 4m 'D' End shaped
conference tables can be accommodated within any meeting environment,
complemented by an offer of circular, square and rectangular coffee
tables.
Table tops and panel legs are 40mm thick with solid wood lippings all
round and with Bull nose profiles on all edges.
TSK Group director Andy Burke sees a good fit between Corniche and the
planning brief for Morrisons.
"The building benefits from being both a physical manifestation of the
brand ideals of the company whilst facilitating everyday activities and
supporting more efficient and productive ways of working," he says.
