Britain’s longest-established workplace interiors provider has relocated its headquarters and showrooms to the heart of the UK workplace design market in London.
The brief for the new Wagstaff Centre in Brewhouse Yard, Clerkenwell has been resolved by design practice PENSON as a ‘unique retail experience, where the view from the outside is just as important as the one on the inside’.
The space accommodates innovative AV solutions, wi-fi/my-fi spaces, collaborative working, specification and finishes lounge, as well as showroom dedicated to commercial furniture, commercial fit-out, and acoustics’ management plus back-office administration functions.
The relocation from Wembley on the outskirts of the capital to its centre – and the home of the building design community – marks Wagstaff’s continued development into the interiors fit-out sector.
The new showroom successfully constitutes a one-stop shop for designers, their clients and even the general public that is unique to the area (the company is the first turnkey provider of its kind to move into the area).
Expanses of window create street presence while display areas allow for maximum flexibility enabling individual sets to be re-arranged without disrupting the balance of displays, much in the manner of a stage set: a theatre showcasing products and ideas.
